Message from His Lordship Bishop Michael Miabesue Bibi on the 50th Anniversary of SBMC

His Lordship Bishop Michael Miabesue Bibi — Bishop of Buea and Proprietor of St. Joseph's College Sasse — has issued an official message of congratulations to the President and members of the SOBA Buea Mother Chapter on the occasion of the chapter's 50th anniversary celebration.

Honouring 78 years of SOBA and 50 years of the Buea Mother Chapter

Recalling that the Sasse Old Boys' Association was created 78 years ago, in 1947, by visionary ex-students at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria — and that its founding creed of "Be your Brother's keeper" has resonated across all class groups and chapters around the world ever since — the Bishop notes that this same creed has now also been carried for fifty years in the Buea Mother Chapter.

Salute to fifty years of outreach to Sasse College

The Bishop salutes the chapter for its steadfastness and for the impact of its various outreach programmes on the lives of students of his alma mater — singling out for special mention the agricultural outreach programme with the students, coordinated by SOBANs Dr. Amos Namanga Ngongi and Joseph Ndembe Ikundi.

An invitation to surge beyond life

Recalling that Saint Joseph's College Sasse recently celebrated its 85th anniversary under the theme "Sasse College @85, surging beyond life", the Bishop wishes the chapter a blissful 50th anniversary celebration and urges its members to continue accompanying their alma mater as she surges beyond life.
